The preview now has its own application shell, workspace navigation, theme control and Ctrl+K search. Rooms and devices can be filtered. Device inspection includes related rules and observed state history. Activity provides bounded read-only snapshot replay. The night shift demonstrates a cooling-rule failure.
The versioned handbook documents actual behavior and planned boundaries. Lab Control introduces a separate, real read-only website monitoring path with sample freshness, coverage and persistent history.
Preview 0.1
Six rooms, 15 entities, household modes, four scripted automation rules, an event bus, an energy estimate and a local phrase-based assistant. The story includes laundry, rack heat, shower humidity, sunset and two small household mysteries.
Implemented versus planned
Implemented: browser simulation, structured local commands, device inspection, session history, documentation and a deployable website collector.
Simulated: household devices, Home Assistant/MQTT/REST adapter events, power estimates and time.
Planned: authenticated real device adapters, an independently hosted uptime probe, a model-backed assistant, durable household history, a general automation editor and downloadable incident reports.
Known limits
Household state resets on reload. History is bounded and does not survive leaving the preview. The power graph starts with illustrative values. Monitoring history begins only when the collector is deployed. Same-host measurements do not establish outside-in availability. Only explicitly published website telemetry belongs in the public NOC.
