What you are opening
HomeOS is a personal home-control project in development. This public workspace is an interactive preview, not a deployed home controller. All devices, adapter events and household time are simulated in your browser. Ask HomeOS uses a local phrase matcher, not a language model.
Lab Control is different: it reads measurements collected from the public website. Its data never drives the simulated house. Look for the environment label in each workspace.
Explore the workspace
Overview brings together rooms, the assistant, issues and automation rules. Rooms and Devices let you filter the inventory. Select Inspect on a device to see its current state, related rules and observed state history. Close the inspector with Escape to return to the control that opened it.
Activity records up to 120 state snapshots, including your actions and simulation ticks. Select a moment to inspect the recorded state. This pauses the simulation; it does not roll back the current house. Resume simulation when you are ready.

Control the house
Home restores comfortable lighting and a 21 °C target. Away turns off the lights and TV, locks the door, sets 17 °C and sends a docked vacuum out. Night turns off the lights and TV, leaves the hallway at 10 %, locks the door and sets 19 °C.
One real second represents half a simulated minute. Pause stops the clock, while manual controls continue to work. Reloading starts a fresh house. Navigating between workspace views keeps the current session; leaving the preview can reset it.
Take the night shift
On Overview, choose Take the night shift. The scenario disables the cooling rule, stops the rack fan, advances six simulated minutes and pauses. Inspect the server rack, find the disabled automation and enable Keep the rack cool. Advance one minute to check the result: the fan should run at 100 %.
The success message confirms that you restored the rule and observed its effect. Inspect Activity to see the steps. This short exercise uses the same model as the rest of the preview.
Keyboard access
Press Ctrl+K or Command+K to open workspace search. Tab through the results, Enter to open a page, and Escape to close. Every device control works with the keyboard. Light sliders accept the arrow keys. The theme button changes both the workspace and the main website.
